Continuing on three years of sold-out shows, Comedy Uncovered:Live returns for another night of surprise guests, prizes, and epic comedy! Headlined by Steve Patterson (host of CBC’s The Debaters, Just For Laughs) and featuring stand up by Chantel Marostica (Winnipeg Comedy Festival), character work by Canadian Comedy Award winning improviser Kris Siddiqi, and a HUGE surprise guest (think Just For Laughs across two continents, their own TV deals, movies, and more), we went all out on talent. Plus, pre-show music by Tom Misch, boooy.
Charming, surreal, and funny, come celebrate Valentines Day with the Tim & Eric style web series cooking show It’s One Me, born out of Toronto’s East end, where they make meals from ingredients only at the Dollar Store.
February is a stellar month for Comedy in Toronto. From Empire Comedy’s international headliners Dana Gould (Simpsons, Parks and Recreations) and Jackie Kashian, to a Family Day show at one of Toronto’s longest running weekly shows, to the improv powerhouse shows and formats Mantown and Catch 23, it’s going to be dope two weeks!
“Yes, And”…more please. One Night Only: The Greatest Musical Never Written is a musical comedy with an all-star cast and a five piece orchestra. Although formatted with the conventions of a scripted show, it’s completely improvised, dictated by spontaneous audience suggestions. TL;DR – If you like either improv or musicals, this is the show for you!
Gary Rideout Jr. is nearing Mensch status. So what better way to pay homage to a pillar in the community than photoshopping his face into movie posters and plastering Facebook and Twitter?
